I cant seem to find any answers...I have HSV2 and been sexually active with my GF for about 10 days now and we have been using condoms and ive been taking Acyclovir as a daily suppresant along with L-Lysine. My GF just started to get flu like symptoms 3 days ago and she is getting worse. Caughing, running nose, chills, and fatigue. Im SO SCARED i gave her HSV2. I feel like dying right now!!!

Can someone tell me if they had these symptoms before they had any outbreak?? Is this normal to have flu like symptoms. Am i being paranoid? I will die if i gave my GF H2.

When I first had an outbreak those were some of the symptoms I had.

I don't really remember, but it was in the matter of a couple of days. How is she doing?

I don't really remember but I'm sick now with a cough and chest congestion. Might be from the stress of this on my body. And during the outbreak I had a bit of a sore throat and fever a couple of times. The only thing I noticed actually at the beginning of the outbreak was sore groin area. This is my first OB and everything happened so suddenly.

      Hi 2sweet,

As of today she feels fine, and hasn't had an OB. Her flu like symptoms went away a few days ago so im thinking it was just a common cold. We do continue to have sex weekly and i try to take precaution everytime. I feel guilty almost everytime after we sleep together because i cant stop thinking that that will be the time she will contract H2.

Ugh! I hate thinking and feeling this way!!!

Don't feel like this, she knows what she's getting herself into. She clearly loves you.
