Please help me i can’t handle this anymore...

nothing like this has ever happened to me before so please give me your honest opinion. i have spoken to my doctor so many times but i feel like nothing is being done to help me due to COVID being extremly high in our area. ( i have never been covid positive) i am 23 btw

Around 14 months ago i had nearly 20 panic attacks in a week, for 8 months straight afterwards i had the most severe brain fog/confusion to the point were i was waking up in the morning not remembering who i am or who my own father is when i see him. i could also not even type on my phone i was pressing every key wrong and writing jibberesh and i spent almost every single day in bed for the entire 8 months.

about 6 months after the panic attacks my right hand started to swell and started to numb every single morning i wake up my right hand is numb. Also my right arm has become extremely weak and in pain, my right leg has become extremely painful and weak and my right foot has a constant pressure/tingling (the foot pain only started about 6 months ago) but is still bothering me daily. the right side of my face is also very stiff when i smile it feels like the left side moves normally but the right side is very stiff.

i have been taking all my vitamins daily so i know it cant be a vitamin deficiany, another weird thing is when my cracked tooth was aching last night (Right side again) the pain in my foot stopped for the first time since it started ... Every pain i have ever had in the past 12-14 months has been on the right side of my body including occasional chest and stomach pain (Right side) i have not had one pain or ache on the left side since all this has started.

my foot, leg and face still ache the arm pain has gone but it is still very weak and pains for days after lifting simple things like shopping bags. the brain fog has been on and off for the past 2-3 months but i had a few beers with my dad on friday and it has affected me ever since. (i hardly ever drink maybe once every few months)

i am not one to complain but i am in some desperate need for advice here as this is really affecting my life and i will be extremely grateful for any help!

Thank you!

sorry you are going through this. have you had any medical testing done? Like MRI? Bloodwork? etc?

    do you have family support?

if this is still going on, you should be in regular contact with the doctor to figure out what the next step is. you need a Doctor Who will listen to you . do you have a history of intense anxiety?

      Hi jan

i have had a MRI done which came back clear and my bloods came back clear apart from a vitamin D deficiancy which i am taking the tablets to sort out.

my doctor is great it just seems he is extremely busy with COVID as it is terrible in my area at the moment we are in a full national lockdown!

I have had anxiety attacks on and off since i i was stabbed in 2016 and nearly lost my life, it's not something i like talking about but i feel it is relevant to this situation.

I have always been able to deal with the anxiety its the pain/weakness i cant deal with, this is the only time i have ever been in pain on one side of my body and it is really confusing me im not sure if anxiety can cause months of brain fog & pain and weakness on the right side of my body

im only 23 i just want my life back together i feel like a burden on my girlfreind and family at the moment 😦

anxiety and stress can cause hundreds of symptoms. Pain is included. it can also cause brain fog for quite a while and it’s very often because of unresolved issues in a persons life that keeps the stress going on.

have you ever considered speaking with a counselor about this? Because if all of this is related to anxiety and stress they can help you manage it all which might in turn reduce or eliminate your symptoms.

if The doctors can’t find anything physically wrong, it could very well be anxiety and stress related. what happened to you in 2016 is very relevant! It would be great if you could vent all of this to a professional counselor or therapist. Sometimes that is what needs to be done in order to heal. I do hope you start to feel better soon!
