I expect you're having a setback / blip.  You'll get these throughout recovery.  Its always 3 steps forward and 2 steps back all the time.  Even though you feel like this, it doesn't mean the meds aren't working - they are.  It often takes many months to feel well - took me 6 months, and it was around 3 months that I started noticing it.

It does get easier.  Just accept there will be highs and lows at the moment - your body is still stabilising.

Thank you for the advice. 20mg of citalopram have worked for me in the past and it's only been six weeks this time back on them. Do u think that I need to stick at 20mg for longer or should I see about taking a higher dose.

      Hi Gemma

I've taken these twice and it took longer the second time around - I've seen others report this happens too.  I'd stick with your dose - if it worked before it will again.

Its hard waiting I remember - but I just trusted in the meds - they'll work their magic for you again wink

I’m the same today Gemma, I’m so anxious my body feels like it’s going to explode it’s horrendous. I’m only on 10mg but I started them just under two weeks ago. The good days are getting better for me but I’m that way out today where I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m here if you want to talk xx

      Belle,

Put headphones on and listen to your favorite music and go for a walk. It helps

      With that anxiety feeling.

      Will😎

I am about 6 weeks in too and still have some really bad days. You just have to look at all the support on here and believe that with time it, the better days will start to outnumber the bad ones.

If it continues like this though you should go back to the doctor to discuss what to do next.

    We are all with you.

I did see some improvement but now I feel like I've gone back again. I just don't know if I should ask the doctor to up the dose to 30mg or if it's too soon.
