Please help me, need people's opinions!!

So I had sex with my new boyfriend not last Thursday but the Thursday before that for the first time, and it's the first time I have been sexually active in a very long time- I have only had sex with 3 people including him, and he's been with 14. But literally the week after I started getting sores and blisters, literally all of the herpes symptoms that have spreaded all down there (I'll find out if it is herpes tomorrow) but I told him about it, and has said that there is no chance I got it off him, as he said he had been checked and was clean and hasn't been sexually active since then with anyone but me. However for as long as I have known him he has had a split right in the middle of his bottom lip which always looks pretty sore, and hasn't closed up or anything and is still open. Even though he is confident he didn't give it to me and is accusing me of cheating, I am extremely scared and was wondering if he could be carrying it but not be showing any symptoms except for his lip? Please help!

Most STD tests do not include tests for HSV. He may have gotten tested under the assumption that it included testing for Herpes, and thus believes he's clean.

You may want to encourage him to get tested specifically for HSV 1 & 2.

Okay then I will, it's because he's in the army and did a urine test to check for STDs after splitting with his ex who he thought had cheated on him. But I will tell him that

Herpes can only be tested by blood. If he did it, ask him to get a copy of his results and see what they actually tested for. The guy that gave this to me said he was clean too but lilke Joe said herpes isn't included I really think it should be. Common sense! I had herpes testing earlier this year and was negative so in my case if the test comes out positive (preliminary tests have been negative) then I will definitely know who gave it to me!

By blood or culture swab I mean. (if he had a sore)

Ah okay, it's just because he is adamant that he doesn't have anything! But could it be from that split he has in his lip?

It's always possible but if it's always there and never goes away that might not be herpes. On the mouth people get the same cold sore that blisters over and is gone within a week. I dated one guy with it (he didn't pass anything to me) and know two other people personally that get it and all three of them get the same thing.

Looked exactly the same on all three that is.

Actually, you can test urine for herpes via PCR, but it's uncommon and only useful if you are having an outbreak, presumably with urethral symptoms.

It was a pretty decent size sore on the bottom lip and then it crusted over. Just google cold sores and the typical picture of one is what my friends looked like.

Actually I think you might be referring to a canker sore. Canker sores look like cuts and are in the corner of the mouth or inside. Canker sores are not std related. He could get that if he is constantly drinking acidic drinks like juices and sodas.

OK. I had to google because I get those sometimes. I guess it is called perleche or angular cheilitis. I do get canker sores too. Haven't had one in a while though.

Agree with the others. He needs to see what he was tested for, as I bet herpes wasn't included. Herpes lesions, whether orally or genitally, last only several days to a couple of weeks, so if the split in his lip has been there for longer, herpes seems unlikely (just referring to the split; he could still have it), but he should get tested for HSV-1/2 IgG antibodies nevertheless.
