supposed herpes doesn't last for months it comes and goes, and do you have a pic of your sores?

The only way you're going to find out is to get tested. It's not as bad as you think, find your nearest clinic and either book an appointment or go to the drop in (depending how it works at that clinic).

How do you feel about talking to your mum or someone else about it?

    Which country are you in?

You do need to get yourself looked at and tested, a sexual health/GUM clinic would be best.

I know its so scary but ignoring it and hoping it will go away could lead to more damage, say if its something like chlamydia it can be treated easily but can be really damaging to you if left untreated.

I would personally say talking to your mum would be the best thing, whatever reaction you think she'll have chances are she will just want to help and support you and it will be so much easier for you to have someone with you for support.

It's not as embarrassing as you think, people have sex and these things can happen. You will feel so much better once you've been tested and haven't got all this worry to keep to yourself xxx
