Hi people
I've been suffering from lichen planus on my leg for about 8 years! Actually I first got LP in 2009 and suffered like 3 years, and it settled down slowly! Now I got it again, spent thousands on medicine! Nothing worked out!
Please help me on this, and the damn scars(even I have the old scars which appeared in 2009)

Hi Madhu,
Your case sounds classic enough. If you are not taking any prescription medication internally, consider St. John's Wort tablets. You most likely have Staph colonization in your flesh wounds and many scientists now believe Staph IS the actual trigger for many varieties of atopic dermatitis. SJW has the documented ability to combat Staph and to repair damaged skin. I cured my 20 year case of LP/LSC on the legs with SJW tablets, and have been disease-free for close to 5 years now. It took 6 weeks to permanently get rid of the symptoms, and 5-6 months for the scars to dissappear completely, @ 600mg/day.
Good luck,
Greg.

Hi Madhu,
That's terrific... And when you do see your doctor, consider asking him if he can test your LP wounds for Staphylococcus Aureus colonization... That would be an excellent first step to suggest a treatment with SJW might be helpful, as there is so much growing evidence on the subject.
Keep us posted!
Greg.

Hi Mary Pooh,
I'm so sorry to hear your complex condition with OLP has been getting worse, and yes, unfortunately, there are some prescription drugs that are not recommended taking along with SJW. I hope your specialist does find a solution to help control your current outbreak, so that you may be prescription-drug free as soon as possible.
Be brave!
Greg.

I started a phototherapy treatment a month and a half ago and this, finally seems to be helping. The flaking skin has become stronger, there is less bleeding, the bumps slowly flattening out. I have suffered from lichen planus since December 2013 so this vast improvement is great.
