Hello , I am 20 years old , at 14 i ve experienced panic attacks , depersonalization , health anxiety , i finally was able to get rid of my anxiety until this year , I was abused by my partner , i also was abandoned by my best friend , it was a bit to much for me , after a few months after the abuse event , i started to get little signs of anxiety back , like palpitations , different kind of worry feelings , after this soft sensations , i started to feel depersonalization , the first time i almost had a panic attack , then i started to have my short term memory affected ( when i started feeling this , i was very scared because i did not know that is a normal symptom of a high level anxiety , so it gain me lots and lots of anxiety feelings ) after that , i started having this mind pops ( like random memories or old dreams , or random images that i actually did not remember clearly , just vague , that randomly come to my mind while I am doing something that isn t related to them ) after some time i find out that this is also a common symptom of high anxiety , but in the mean time , i thought i am going crazy , i started to make all kind of mental health test , (schizophrenia, maniac , psychotic , etc ) i never really had any score that showed i had any of that mental health problems , but i scored like 04 of 50 points on some of them , i think that is only because some of high anxiety symptoms that may coincide with them . But after reading all that symptoms , I actually started believing that i have them or that i will actually have them in no seconds . This is a hard process to me , i have been seeing a therapyst , but my anxiety still can go down because besides i know all of them are anxiety symptoms , i am afraid them not to be something else . I need constant reassureance . Any of you experienced any of this ? Thank you a lot for your patience ! 🤗

all of your symptoms are common with extreme anxiety. Please be reassured of that. I have had all of your symptoms and so have millions of other people with chronic severe anxiety. I also needed constant reassurance for a long time but now that I know it’s definitely anxiety related, I can actually relax about it. The more you are able to relax your mind, The less symptoms you will have. Some of them may linger for quite a while but you can rest assured th

    at they are not harmful!

The best thing you can do is stay in therapy even when you start to feel a little better. You need that support right now because this is difficult to manage alone.

You see, it’s not the symptoms that are the problem. The problem is unmanaged chronic anxiety that causes the symptoms.

thats why it’s so important for you to take care of yourself with therapy, healthy eating, meditation, a little exercise even if it’s just walking, not isolating yourself. The worst thing to do is overthink all of this because then you’re telling your brain that something is wrong and the symptoms will just continue.

so, You are not going crazy. You’re just experiencing severe anxiety that causes symptoms. There are some great meditations on YouTube for anxiety that are very calming and relaxing and that will help your mind to settle down a little. It’s important to know proper breathing with anxiety to get in better control so search for some mindfulness breathing meditation’s also. you are not going crazy. hi jan. Im also struggling with random mind pops. Random clips of dreams will pop up at any time and i wont be doing for them to pop up. when this happens i get this crazy feeling in my stomach/body im so scared im going to go crazy. how do we know for sure that this is due to anxiety? ive talked to a few people who have severe anxiety and no one can relate to me.

hi nina. you can rest assured that random mind pops do happen with a lot of people who have anxiety especially long-term chronic anxiety. There have been several people on this site that have mentioned this. I have had those also and I know how weird they are. When we have anxiety, a lot of us get unwanted thoughts usually negative thoughts or scary "what if" thoughts etc. Mind pops are also a part of this. With anxiety, the mind can race and random weird thoughts can come out of that. The brain is an amazing organ and even scientists don’t completely understand everything that goes on.

it would most likely help if you spoke with a therapist. They can really help you manage all of this. Also, if you were to post on this site and put random mind pops in the subject line you would most likely get people who could relate to that. Anyway, take it easy and try to relax your mind as much as possible with meditation, or anything that helps you relax. ❤
