Please help. Two doctors with different advice

Posted , 12 users are following.

I went to my GP after experiencing excruciating abdomen pain and having difficulty passing urine. She referred me for a scan which showed a 15 cm fibroid at the fundus (top) of my uterus. I was in such pain I went to a private consultant who told me I would need a myomectomy. In the meantime I've seen the NHS registrar/consultant who said I didn't need surgery and should take esmaya. He said the only side effects are nausea. I've since read differently. I just don't know which way to turn. I'm a single parent. I already suffer with anxiety. I feel so alone and don't know what to do.

Thankyou everyone for your advice.  It's really hard to know what to do.  Since my first post I've just had minor discomfort and a bit of pain when walking. I've booked an apt to go back the doctor who prescribed it and discuss it further.  I don't like the idea of all the side effects and the possibiltiy of it growing back.  But then major surgery isn't very appealling either!  Again, thankyou all smile
