blood tests arent good for herpes test especially if this is your first time feeling this way the incubation period is 14 days so it wouldnt even be in your blood at this point. definitely get the sores swabbed as soon as you can. is it really painful? peeing, when something rubs against the sores, walking?

Not to scare you but I was just recently diagnosed with Herpes 3 weeks ago and these ulcers are extremely similar to what mine looked like. They became extremely painful. Go to the ER and have them swabbed as soon as possible. I was advised it wasn’t by one provider but then my symptoms got worse and the hospital had to confirm it for me just by looking and then swab results. I cried like a baby when i got my results i have only had one partner unprotected for the last year and a half and can say when or how but I’m coming to terms with it and the medication cleared it up immediately.

Aww, I cried for days when I got the news. I was 16 y/o and I believe I got it from my first partner. It's been over 15 years since then. The first outbreak is the worst and you'll most likely have less over time, or you might not have one ever again. My first outbreak was a patch on my left lip and it was extremely itchy but it hasn't appeared like that again. After the first one, I'd get one once a year (if that) and it was always a small paper-cut sized mark in the same area between my vagina and anus (felt like a paper cut too but slightly itchy) and it would go away within a week. However, I've gone years now without having an outbreak and I've never taken medication for it. Have your partner use a condom if he feels anything coming on or has an outbreak though because that will cause you to have an outbreak... Keep your head up. You will still live a long, healthy and happy life. 😃
