Hi to all 😃 been on citalopram for 20 weeks not worked. Been on 20mg but just been cut to 10mg been told to taper off and switch to setraline. But the thing I'm anxious the most is he told me to take 10mg of citrelpram and 25mg of setraline for a week. Im just not sure taking both at same time can be good for you. So I'm really worried

Hi Ryan, i think your doc has suggested that as they're both from the same drug family of SSRIs. when i switched from sertraline to prozac (due to weight gain) i went straight from one to the other and didn't have new side effects as theyre the same family. yours are low doses too. but if youre still unsure ask for your GP to ring you for reassurance.

    Ryan. Follow Drs instructions.

    Good Luck.

Sertraline I found better than Citlapram.

yes I agree...i found the first 2-4 weeks hard on sertraline and always upped in 25's til i found my dose (150, then reduced ok to 100). only swapped to 20 mg prozac due to weight gain, but i feel its not enough at times and am considering sertraline again, tho i need to shift the weight first!

hi ryan, this is exactly what my GP told me to do and it worked fine, no side effects apart from a slight headache, it is scary, I was very worried about doing it but it was so much better then the 6 months I spent waiting for citalopram to stop making me ill and start working. go for it, what have you got to loose, cit is not working for you, this maybe the one that does

it will be fine. give it 3-4 weeks to settle on sert before upping and up gradually especially if youre sensitive to it like i was. when you reach the right dose you will just know (youll feel good all the time!)
