Im so confused the last time i had unprotected sex was the very end of August. Last monday i went to planned parenthood since i get recurrent bv/yeast, turns out i had a yeast infection so i took the medicine but it still hasnt cleared up. This Monday I felt irritated down there so after work I sat in front of a mirror and was shocked to see a few red bumps, not thinking anything of it i squeezed them and put witch hazel on them. I dont have flu symptoms and they dont hurt when I pee but they are somewhat uncomfortable. Today they look like sores. Please help 😦 image

thanks for the reply. im terrified of getting a diagnosis but i guess it could be worst

its hard to judge by that photo and especially because you irritated them. Have you recently shaved the area? They could be infected hair follicles. I have heard that yeast infections can cause rawness/sores on the skin - Don't panic yourself and assume herpes without getting the diagnosis

thank you for responding I'm trying not to freak out and no i havent shaved in months. After i squeezed them they turned this color, no scabs yet but this is only the beginning of day 4

Did you ever get tested for std after unprotected sex?

Thank you for responding. i did. I get recurrent BV/yeast every couple of months and i always get an std and hiv test when i go but never a herpes test. This is my first time seeing something like this done there. im terrified

understandable and hopefully all is well. I have a few posts about my situation. I had unprotec sex on 9-1-19. never had a sore and did 2 full panel std test which were negative. I am still not normal and I had yeast & bv too...

the guy I was dating tested positive, after 9-1-19, for herpes 1&2.

this has been a nightmare and I can relate. Go see your gynecologist and ask for the blood test & swab.

i wish you the best and either way it will be ok. you have an amazing life head of you. live your life to the fullest!!

thank you so much girl youre an angel ❀ I Just left walk in care and the Dr looked at me like i was a nut job when i said i think this is herpes. I for sure have vulvovaginitis he said thats what caused that rash thing but swabbed just to make sure it wasnt Herpes. Im still not convinces until the results come back but either way im going to keep living and make better choices.

yay!! that's awesome news. i can understand your reservations about it until results come back but at least you're over the 1st hurdle- visual diagnosis.

stay positive and will keep you in my prayers πŸ™

*** QUICK UPDATE still waiting for results

Hopefully this can help someone... still no scabbing, the surface is completely flat, I started with a few bumps, squeezed the heck out of them and now they are gone. I havent taken anything orally but i have used witch hazel and a wipe they give you before you pee in a cup for std testing, that stung a little but nothing crazy. The wipe turned my sore white but no bleeding and no scabbing. Im guessing this will be gone in a few days its been clearing up on its own. Figured id share in case someone has something similar since i havent seen a ton on the internet that resemble whats going on with me.

thank you I appreciate you and this site so much. Im happy this is all over and probably not. I went well within the recommended time frame I feel pretty confident with the dr saying it visually didnt look look herpes and the swab being negative.
