Please help. What is this?

I've had a pinkish red raised lump on my leg just above my knee cap for about 5 months and always thought it was normal until my friend did he's never had anything like it.

It is raised, pinkish red and filled with blood because if I press on it it turns white.

    Have you asked your GP?  If you don't want to go to your GP, what about asking a Pharmacist?

      I'm away now so I can't get it checked out I was just wondering what it was?

    I think its a naevus. A collection of cells which have a higher than normal blood supply. Whatever you do dont try removing it yourself. If it is bothering you,eg catching on clothing,then you need a qualified medic to take it off,as there will be more bleeding than normal for a lump removal,and will need to be cauterised.
