Please help with any advice you can

Hello to everyone seeing this my name is paola and I'm truly honestly terrified. What happened is about 6 months ago I got a bartholins abscess which was a super painful and awful experience. It was a one time thing thankfully and I haven't had any issues since. A few months later I got a pimple (down there) and it ended up popping but it did leave a nasty wound. It was a deep hole but ended up healing. A few months have passed and about a week ago I got an abscess under my arm that grew to the size of a plum. It was crazy painful and ended up popping and puss came out. It's still healing. Then on my other armpit I got an abcess again but this time it was super small...I used hot compresses and it opened. To my luck it came again even though I squeezed the puss out and I did the same again and hope it goes away. Anyways my sister told me that it was odd how I kept getting this stuff. Based on your opinion do you think I have HS?? I know I should go to a medical professional but I don't have insurance only emergency insurance and I'm so terrified. If anyone can give me any advice I would gladly take it. Thank you for reading this to the end.

This does sound like HS. You would probably need to see a dermatologist to confirm diagnosis and have antibiotics prescribed if needed. Minocycline works well if you have infected open sores. Where are you based?

You could also try some over the counter remedies. Stuff like antiseptics to clean the wound and adhesive bandaids so your clothes don't get messy. Also, if invest in Turmeric Curcumin  1000 mg capsules- I take once a day everyday and it helps with healing and preventing new breakouts. These are just some of the things at the top of my head.

    Feel free to ask questions.

Hey thank you for your reply. I am based around LA in California. This is just a really scary expirience I'm 19 and I honestly never had any issues with abscess before until now. I really will try to see a dermatologist but it will take some time because like I said I don't have insurance only emergency but I really appreciate the concern. I would like to know what type of product do you use on your body to prevent break outs if you don't mind me asking?

Paola, you need a good dermatologist. They'll get you on the right meds. The first poster was a good start. Let me know if you need information as to what I did.

Is there any chance you live around LA in California?? That's where I'm from and if you have any recommendations I would gladly appreciate them

You really need to see a doctor so you can be properly diagnosed and treated. In the meanwhile you could try to figuring out what's triggering it. It could be food, an allergy, medications, drugs, your environment, animals etc. What you describe seems like NS, but you won't know for sure until you get diagnosed. If you do have an autoimmune disease then, you could try eliminating foods that are triggers (refine sugar, wheat, eggs, etc.). Personally, I  would stop using refined sugar irregardless.  Good luck to you and let us know how it goes.

I meant  "HS" sorry about that. I also wanted to say you should get treated as early as possible. You will highly regret not getting treatment early. If you do have HS, you don't want it to get out of hand.

I think they meant HS. If you have HS they'll probably put you on clyndomican and rocifin. Something like that. You're early into it. You should do something now. Don't wait.
