PLEASE I NEED SOME INFOMATION!

Posted , 3 users are following.

Right I'm 15 year old guy, and I'm really stressed right now due to the fact that I've been having blood and mucus for the last 2 weeks. I have had a blood test and it's come back normal and nothing needs to be done and that makes no sense to me because you can't just magically get these certain symptoms and everything is okay.

My symptoms are

Loads of Constipation

Tiny bit of diarrea

Itchiness around bum at night

Blood and Mucus around stool

NO PAIN AT ALL!

I know that I've had a blood test and it says everything is normal, but that doesn't answer the fact that a 15 year old has blood and mucus around his stools.

I guess I'm asking for help or any infomation or even guidance, because I'm really stressed as you can tell. And it's just not normal to have these symptoms.

It all started a couple months ago with just bits of mucus around my stool and it went so I didn't think of anything of it. And then it came back but a tad worse but just had bits of blood. ( the blood always looks different every time either darkish of bright ) and I've had this for 2 weeks. With constipation and sometimes itchiness at night.

So please I need some help especially as I'm only 15 I think about a lot of things that I shouldn't think about. Also I've had no family history of anything wrong!

Thank you for reading please help!

Stop worrying it can make all sort of symptoms worse. You should not be thinking about this and getting stressed.  Go to the doctors and take someone with you for support. Explain your worries and ask for an explanation of your symptoms, could be you have got piles, a tummy bug etc. but worrying and thinking will not help but the doctor can help if you are honest and explain everything.

Take care of yourself, make a doctors appointment and chill out.

      Hi

Because I was presenting with extreme symptoms like tiredness, i  was forgetful and confused etc, they initially did blood tests for full blood count, thyroid test, hormone levels, Ferritin, Vit B12 etc. I only mentioned about the severe rectal bleeding when diagnosed with Aneamia. Thats when they referred me to the hospital for the 2 week urgent pathway to check for Cancer. I Don't think they use blood testing to diagnose your bleeding problem but they do them if you are showing signs of other symptoms... I think it's more of an investigatory case to diagnose IBS etc. Eg: Colonoscopy,  gloved finger exam etc.

Just go and see another doctor and do what I did.... take loads of pics of the toilet after every use. Trust me, they like photographic proof.... it gives them a better idea. I show everyone now!!

      Good Luck

Try not to worry too much as this can make problems worse. You need a second opinion. I have suffered similar symptoms for a few months now and have lost that much blood I've been diagnosed with Severe Aneamia. I've had 3 lots of blood test, rectal exams, colonoscopy,  Gastroscopy , Colon biopsys  3 x poop tests and still being investigated.  Been cleared of Cancer so far but still yet to find out what's going on.

Try not to worry but you do need to chase this up. Good Luck!

      Thankyou Paula!

Obviously I'm happy nothing came up but I just want an answer for it. I've had nearly every symptom of IBS or even IBD but apparently they won't come up on a blood test.
