Please, I need your help.

So I had an yeast infection in February. My gynaecologist prescribed Terbinafin which is apparently not the right medicine for vaginal thrush. Fast forward 2 months. Apart from itching, I also experienced pain. Consulted a dermatologist and she said I had a severe yeast infection due to the delay in diagnosis and prescribed fluconazole. I have been taking it for 3 months. The itching has subsided and the pain is also almost gone. I do experience itching sometimes. Not so severe but annoying nonetheless. Is it something to worry about? I don't have any skin changes so I don't think it's LS and it's not present all the time so I guess it's not vulvodynia either. I would appreciate your views on this. Please.

Many women have experienced yeast infections that last months even though they have taken meds. its rather unfortunate but if you give it more time I'm sure it will go away completely.

Thank you for replying. So it's not something i should be worried about, right?

No you dont need to be concerned. You can ask for stronger meds to treat the infection.

yes you can work out but ensure you shower afterwards. Ensure that the area around your vag is nice and dry as to not create more moist also wear 100% cotton panties, lay off the thongs and stuff. try get something that will help with the ph balance like Citro-soda if its available in your country

Okay. And tbh I had never really looked down there before. So now that I am more observant of everything happening down there, every few hours I notice some white, oily substance between my inner labia(which can be easily wiped off). Is that just my normal secretion or something else? It doesn't smell or anything.

Okay. And sometimes I get random itching/stinging sensations (especially on mons). Goes away on its own. I don't know if I am just overthinking 😔
