Please , please help - I really need reassurance about morning anxiety
Posted , 3 users are following.
5 1/2 weeks on Citalopram, 3 weeks of which have been at 20 mg. Ive started getting glimmers of hope in the afternoons & evenings, but nightime & mornings are intolerable. I was becoming dependent on Zopiclone to sleep every night so took 1/2 tablet last night to start weaning myself off. Woke up at 5am having the most horrendous panic attack. 10mg Diazepam did nothing. Ive taken 30mg Propanalol to calm things down. Even with the Zopiclone i wake up every morning with horrendous anxiety - can someone please , please reassure me this will get better?

Hi. i wake up at 5am with anxiety. it's always worse in the morning as our cortisol is also at its highest. we don't notice it when we are not anxious tho. I found morning anxiety was the last to go. you may also need to up your dose again. I would speak to your Dr

exercise does help but time and procrastination is the issue !

absolutely. dragging yourself out of bed when the morning anxiety hits is hard. it is the best thing to do tho. some days i can do it. others it is too overwhelming

i always get up - being in bed makes it so much worse for me. ive been awake since 3am this morning. Wanted to try to go without my sleeping meds. I go for a walk each day but am still to panicked to meditate - i have tried.
