are you sure you have hpv then? because i was misdiagnosed with hpv too. those growths should be soft, they are vestibular papillomatosis. they have been created by the chronic inflammation.

could you share more on this please:

      • what was your journey to get a VP diagnosis?
      • so are HPV bumps hard?

Sorry, I don't mean to be intrusive, but for almost 2 years, I have suffered with similar symptoms, and since my swab at the doctor's was negative, the doctor is not willing to look further into my problem.

Im still going through my journey, and dont have all the answers. I think VP is definitely under-diagnosed and many of us have been labeled with hpv when no test has verified this.

Have you visited a sexual health clinic, and ruled out STDs? They can happen to the best of us, and it can give you SOME peace finding once that is out the way.

Hey thank you so much for reading, i have been to several different sexual healths and they can not find no STD, they could only find BV and Thrush a few months back in july, i have been treated for both have had blood tests, ultrasound scans, and still nothing i am waiting to see a gynaecologist but it could take up until next year to get an appointment due to covid 😢

I'm not a medical professional, but this looks like vestibular papillomatosis. It's a completely normal variation of the vulva/vagina and is not related to STD's. It was once thought that it was caused by HPV, but recent studies prove that to be untrue. -- I have the same thing going on and it freaked me out at first too. Have a doctor take a peek to ease your mind.

Hi thank you so much for replying, this is such a strange thing for me because the bumps are not really visible when a person looks, you have to get a camera and zoom right in to see what is going on, thank you again for your reply i am going to do some research on this now i feel a bit more calmed after reading this I really have let it take over my life x

Hey hope all is well... I luckily saw a gynaecologist a few days ago and he told me i have got a really bad severe case of persistent thrush also all of the creams and products i was using to try and ease it down was actually making it 10x worse... I am hopefully on the road to recovery, now i can look into the right stuff to get rid of this horrible infection. thank you for your reply x
