My foot is swelling loads and my knee is so i elevate and ice when i get home. My husband and myself both keep saying using it more wil make it hurt and swell do you agree? I went to a craft workshop today and sat down from 10/4pm only walked about for 10 mins twice my foot and leg were so massive and swollen i felt worried! Im 18 wks post op had op in february! I really thought it would be feeling better by now! Am i expecting to much or do you think i should check with specialist? Thanks

Thank you so much for all your great replies and advice. It has definately helped. I have to be patient and except its a slow recovery. To hear that a lot of you still get swelling at my stage has made me feel better. I appreciate your kind words! Thanks

Heres to all of us being pain free one day.

I love reading all or the posts. This is an incredible support network for me.  I return to work Thursday, and am preparing my plan of action to allow for time to elevate and ice, etc.  The experiences of each of you are invaluable for me.  Thank you all for your brave sharing!!

Remember that your knee will look more swollen that your other knee for up to a year.  Normal.  Excessive swelling and pain means that you pushed it too far.  Back off, heal and resume.  You will find your "sweet spot" for progress with no pain.  Check my thread "Zero Degrees!!!"...

Thank you! I cannot wait to find that sweet spot, but will keep moving forward, resting and healing, icing and elevating, and listening to my body and progressing as I am able.  I have hit zero degrees a few times, I love it when I do! Such a sense of accomplishmentQ
