HK, no problem with your English, it is making yourself understood and providing the important information that is required, and that is what you have done. For other readers I have placed some details on Candidiasis at the bottom of my Reply .....

What I need to know is are you currently having sex, and I need to know whether you always use condoms if you are having vaginal or anal sex?

I can help you with the dry and red appearance of your penis - I just need to know whether you are currently sexually active? And, if you are sexually active whether you always use condoms?

Candidiasis is a fungal infection caused by yeasts that belong to the genus Candida. There are over 20 species of Candida yeasts that can cause infection in humans, the most common of which is Candida albicans.

Candida yeasts normally reside in the intestinal tract and symptoms of candidiasis vary depending on the area of the body that is infected. Candidiasis that develops in the mouth or throat is called thrush or oropharyngeal candidiasis. Candidiasis in the vagina is commonly referred to as a yeast infection

Hk, what I am going to detail for you is how to care for your penis so that the skin can return to the natural state that it used to be when you were a child. Problems like this can be caused by the constant application and use of soaps, shower gels and body lotions, skin creams, baby oils and lubes used for sex.

If you currently have a sex partner what you MAY ALSO be getting is regular fungal or bacterial infections and this can be causing further distress to the skin of your penis.

Read through my guide and if you have any question you want to ask me then get back to me - the guide is written for men who are not circumcised, as you are circumcised this will be a further problem for the skin of the head and upper-shaft area of your penis. What you need to do is do as much as I specify in the guide for as long as you can - you may ONLY begin to see change in 4, 5 or even more months from now .....

Penile Hygiene Regime to Combat Specific Problems

The best approach is not to use ANY SOAP on the Glans / Head of your penis - wash with water only EVERY time you have urinated, after sexual arousal, and ejaculation. If you are not circumcised, protect the Glans of your penis every time you take a shower by drawing the foreskin as far forward as you can, then wash everywhere else, thoroughly rinse off all the gels / shampoo and suchlike, then expose your glans wash it with the water only using the inside of your hand, then each time you have washed it you must make sure to 100% pat dry immediately afterwards with a clean towel.

After you have put this in place and you still have the situation going on you need to look at what else your penis is coming into contact with on a fairly regular basis.  The likely suspects are:-

      • any chemical compounds such as skin cream / lotions, baby oil, oil based lubes, chemicals inside condoms (e.g. easy-on and spermicides) you need to exclude these one by one to discover the culprit, the easiest approach is to exclude everything to start with, then once things are on the mend, introduce each individual item to discover what has caused this in the first place.
      • if non of these make any difference you need to look to things such as washing powder in which you wash your clothes, and underwear in, in particular.  The simple alternative to washing powder is Liquid Soap Flakes, most sizeable supermarkets stock this in their own brand names - and you use this in your washing machine instead of powders or ANY fabric conditioner type additives.

First of all, I Dont know how thank you for taking the time to answer me. Right now I dont have a sexual partner, so maybe it will make things easy. So, everything I need to do its just clean my penis with water? Nothing else? And if it doesnt disturb you, can I send to you email a pair of photos where you can see how red it gets? because i was and im scared of Balanitis.

But again, thanks a lot, for real.

HK, Balanitis for most men is simply a description for irritated skin of the head, and or foreskin of the penis - so does not really mean very much. Not being sexually active does indeed make the situation easier to deal with as their is no opportunity for extraneous infection.

So yes, water, nothing else. Pat it completely dry every time.

If you cannot wash your penis each time you urinate then what you need to do is to use a clean paper tissue or toilet tissue to remove any urine residue from the skin of your penis. The other part of this is you need to ensure that each time you urinate is that your bladder is completely emptied out, so there is no leakage of urine once you put your penis away. If you wear tight-fitting clothing this can make emptying your bladder more difficult to achieve, unless you completely loosen your clothing when you urinate.

You need to post the photos on here only - you are completely anonymous on here so this is not an issue.

Other people reading these forums, either now or in the future have the opportunity to learn from the exchange of what the discussion content is and what was suggested to deal with these issues.

you re right! the problem is that for the quality of the photos I cant send them here. But its just my penis looking red and very dry. the skin feels weird but nothing more.

Im gonna follow your advice and if it was the solution Im gonna update the post. Again, thank you so much for your time

If you put in place my penile hygiene regime that pretty much deals with most things that are problematical - do note, masturbation is a big problem for skin that has become irritated like yours.

If you can abstain from masturbation for as long as you can (I do mean months NOT days) that will be a great help for your penis.

Let me know how you are progressing in 4 or 5 weeks time .....

I will. The only thing I want is that my penis gets back to reality. I really feel sad about this situation.

I'll update the post in a few weeks, thanks!

Hi! after 7 weeks just cleaning myself with water, I can tell some diferences. I feel in the first 4 weeks better, but this saturday I have relations with a preservative, and now I have my penis itchy and I little bit red.

What I discovered was that every morning I have like smegma (I think it wasnt that, but I dont know how to define it) but almost nothing.

      What should I do now?

Can you tell me what you mean when you say:

      .

" this saturday I have relations with a preservative "

      .

Are you meaning you had sex using a condom, or something else ...... ?

    • Posted

In resume, the first 4 weeks I notice some improvements, there were moments where my penis was normal at all. but this last weeks I notice that it gets red and itchy sometimes.

What you have is that the skin of your penis is still being exposed to an irritant. So, if you have used a condom for example, on the inside of the condom there are often several chemicals, such as those to help get the condom in place without damaging it, and can also have spermicides too. With the friction action during sex these chemical can have a really bad impact on penile skin that is already experiencing considerable irritation.

As I constantly highlight, you MUST exclude ALL exposure to ANY chemical for the skin of your penis to recover. If you go and see a Dermatologist, and some sexual health clinics have dermatologists, they may prescribe you an ointment to help your skin recover - but you need to consult a dermatologist to make sure you don't get a medication that could create even more problems.

In addition, think about ALL of the chemical that are still getting into contact with your penile skin and do whatever you can to exclude these. As I have stated before, these chemical can even be a reaction to the soap powder used to wash your clothes with. Unless you try to exclude all such potential causes means that your penile skin may never recover ....

I understand and I was excluding the exposure to any chemicals, but anyway the skin gets weird.

and like I told you before, I cant go with a Urologist cos there is no one in my city.

In the case I still have Balanitis or candidiasis, what should I do?

    • Posted

You were previously diagnosed with Candidiasis, go back and see that person or the medical service at which they were based. What you will likely need is a combined medication that deals with the cause of the infection and also helps you skin to recover.

You need to clearly state that you have had these issues for 6 years as clearly there is a possibility that you are becoming re-infected and your penile skin cannot completely recover .....

    • Posted

is there a chance I cannot recover anymore? I hate that Urologist, but it seems I have no choice

    • Posted

No, remove the source of the irritation and the skin will most likely eventually recover.

So can you confirm: are you currently sexually active? If yes, do you use condoms? Again if yes, do you have a long-term partner?

The other specialist that can help you is a Dermatologist, and the ones with the greatest knowledge of these issues work at the largest Sexual Health Centres if there is one near you .....

    • Posted

Im having relationships with condoms, but I dont have a long-term partner.

so a dermatologist can help me with this situation? I didnt know about that. And just like I said, the only Urologist in my city never gave me a solution with this thing, and I dont wanna loose more time and money with him

    • Posted

So simple description for the urologist is 'waste of space' and your money along with that if they are not providing you with a solution to this issue.

As I say, the Dermatologist with greatest experience of this are often based at the largest sexual health clinics / centers - if there is a large one in a travelling distance to you phone them up and see if there is a dermatologist you cand see there, or if not, ask where you can go to see one who has specialist knowledge of genital skin disorders ....

Unfortunately, the condoms can be a major cause of this kind of problem and can certainly be sufficient for your skin being unable to recover. Usually the bigger brands of condom are better (but not always) as they have larger research and development budgets to rule out chemical intolerance. So maybe look to different condom brands, and perhaps some types may state they are for sensitive skin .....
