Pleurisy- The Worst Experience Ever

Posted , 2 users are following.

Having been ill since Christmas, I am at my wits end with Pleurisy. This is horrible. I was a 32 year old fit person but now I get out of breath walking to the end of the road. I wake at night covered in sweat with pains in my chest. On my second dose of antibiotics, taking vitamins, drinking loads- to no avail. I can't wait for this to be over.

i hope that by now that you are better. I was browsing the internet because I have had pleurisy three times this year and am going back to the GP tomorrow. There may be an underlying cause for yours and it may be advisable to be checked at a specialist clinic at a hospital. I am 55 but first had pleurisy in my 30's. I was not checked out then but a few years ago I was and found that my lungs were scarred. That made me more vulnerable to pleurisy and chest infections. If I had known earlier I would have changed my employment and aspects of lifestyle. I do recommend that even if you ar better that you get yourself checked properly.

    Best Wishes.

Please get checked for TB, have you lost any weight?

My brother had TB, he used to sweat buckets at night and breathing became really shallow. He had no energy and couldn't walk very far and of course lost loads of weight.

I am 59 years old and have had pleurisy 3-4 times since my 30's. I had a very good naturapathic DR who had me journal my experiences. It turns out that I am extremely allergic to milk and milk products that it causes my pleurisy. Many people, including myself did not believe this at first but experience has proven this true. If I accidentally ingest any of the offender I will get pleurisy as well as a UII or kidney stone. You might want to try journaling to see if you have a cause to set this condition off.
