Yes. Mostly CBD, but some THC helps activate it (as does chocolate). I use it to help me sleep. Had gotten to where only oxycodone was doing it, and that scared me. Don't need that anymore, although I also need codeine and Tylenol to overcome the pain and "whips and jangles" so that I can sleep.

Do you have PMR? I cant sleep taking prednisone. I use tylenol pm but not much help. Just hoping the marijuana would help sleep and do a little for the pain.

Yes, I have PMR. Also OA and some other shoulder issues. The pain gets intense and keeps me awake. So does the Prednisone. The CBD/THC let's me sleep at night. Now that I'm at 6mg, I'll be trying to ditch the codeine. Marijuana is legal here.

Hi Bella, I have PMR and have be on predisolone for 4 years. Ive got down to 5mg and have started to take CBD oil having researched it quiet extensively. I have been on it 2 weeks now I certainly think it’s helping me. But time will tell if I can get the predisolone down further. Good luck

Since your post was 5 months ago would you mind telling me how you are doing with the CBD oil? I'm going to start it next week.. I have PMR, fibromyalgia, arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, depression and I'm morbidly obese.. (I weigh290) and am only 5f7inch... I'm on all kinds of medication and I truly think the drugs will do more harm in the long run.. any update from you would be appreciated.. I have absolutely no interest in getting high.. only pain relief and get off these drugs.. thank you so much for any update regarding your health.. Sharon

No. Not yet. But I'm thinking about it. I am going to eat about 1 Tsp. per day. My lungs can't take the smoke. In a couple of weeks I should know.

Hope you're not planning to eat the plant as such! Try simmering it in butter over a double boiler, then strain it and make some cookies or brownies. Take a very small amount and wait a couple of hours to see how much you actually need. Easy to overdo with edibles.

There's a big difference between consuming a randam amount of whole, dried leaf, and taking a prescribed dose of CBD or cannabidiol. Personally I would never self medicate with cannabis in any form. Anything as effective as this should be prescribed by a knowledgeable physician.

This question comes up every so often - for most of us it isn't an option as it isn't legal. Others say it helped but was probably the fact they didn't mind the pain as much and yet others say it did nothing.

I've been taking pure aloe vera juice, no additives except a trace of citric acid. It's the second time I've taken it for a number of weeks and for a second time it seems to have made my taper easier. Will try not to run out this time! It's expensive, although I think CBD is expensive too, and I drink 60 mg twice a day, so a big bottle vanishes in about ten days.
