PMR, Prednisone, Tapering

I am stuck at 7-1/2m after 27 months...doing the Dead slow method. Does a slower method help...dead slow, 1/2m but spread out further than Eileen or Lodger's plan...or am I fooling myself?...

PMR is running the show...I can't "trick" PMR into accepting less?

My rheumy really has me worried about the internal effects of the prednisone😬

What other things have you tired to improve your general health?  I've been drinking a cup of ginger tea made with grated ginger root every evening.  Some people swear by turmeric, if in food add a little black pepper to increase bioavailability of the anti-inflammatory substances.  And always, as we say, adequate rest and appropriate exercise.

I think your idea of stretching the dead slow method is a good one.

     All the best!

Thank you, the ginger tea, I will give that a try. Interesting about the pepper. One of the things I am really trying us to have a positive attitude. I think a positive attitude and trying to keep active are probably the most important. I refuse to just sit around and do nothing.I have treated myself to a manicure and a pedicure today. Something like that always feels good to.Thank you, and all the best to you too.

Sounds like you had a good day!  One of the things I had trouble learning was how to look after myself first.  A bit of pampering never goes amiss.  😉

      Hi Donna

during painful times I would swap my usual cup of tea for strips of fresh ginger ,slices of hot lemon in hot water has an anti inflammatory effect possibly due to alkaline affect on the body ( surprising that acid lemons have an alkalising effect!)

I have a lemon tree.  I freeze the juice each year.  I have about 1/4 cup of it in Pellegrino water each evening.  I love the refreshing taste.  So, is that a good idea???

Absolutely, sounds great! Just don't add any sugar ,limes are good too. So envious of your lemon tree...can't get any fresher than that 🍋

I use very little sugar.  Never add salt to anytning either.  Yes, I love my lemon tree.  It is a mayer lemon, they are sweeter than regular lemons.  Have a blessed day!!!
