I have had a deep pain in my left eye from time to time.   Never my right eye.   Had it checked out each time and there is nothng to be seen.   Can only presume it is side effect of Preds.   Havent had it for a few months now.   (Having said that it will probably come back again now !!! )

Yes I have been  going though it for the last few weeks. Eyes have checked out ok. I was on 10mg pred, Dr has put it up to 20mg again. Eye pain is less often and not as painful, but not totally gone. I have been having extreme head sweats all winter and I have not had any since increasing dose. Dr does not think it is GCA. I am not sure what she has in mind next. I feel a little more relaxed about the eye pain now it is not so strong.

Good question. She did not give any reasons and I can't believe I did not ask.cry. Honestly I hope it is just pred head and my mind will return intact to me one day.
