PMR, the brain and words

Posted , 10 users are following.

Does anyone else have trouble finding words or using wrong words?  I have a busy brain and a busy life, hoping its lack of mindfulness or PMR and not a dementia. (Which my mother has.)

Does PMR negativily affect the brain apart from GCA/strokes/aneurysm?

I don't know how you are managing at work? I too when diagnosed was working and could barley get moving in the morning let alone by afternoon the fatigue . Forget brain fog.

I started at 20mg Sept 2015 and just now at 11mg and still have fatigue and if I do 8000 steps for 2-3 days I'm out for a couple. I use to do 3x that daily. I've really had to pace myself. Brain fog still there and I'm open in telling people what I have and the side effects.

I retired so my hat goes off to you guys working.

I don’t work full time, between 4-6days a month on sute and odd times by phone the rest if the time. I do have a very busy life though and my daily step goal is 10,000., BUT I  often feel very tired, myzzy headed, still some pain and stiffness and am thinking that maybe I need to reduce my activity level. Was this your experience mariane? I think i got off lightky symptom wise compared too others, i only have a problem with one shoulder, my issues are all waust down 😳

I definitely have to pace myself or I crash and do nothing for a good day or 2. I used the dead slow method from the onset and had problems dropping from day one so for several drops only 0.5mg drops. My last few drops were 1mg but I need to level off after each drop for a min. Of 3 weeks befor another drop.

I suffer alot of the side effects but the brain fog getting better but still there at 11mg.

One thing I can do alot is swim but only when south in warm weather or summer in Canada on our lake. If swimming at the pool I'm tired after. Odd I know but maybe I need the natural Sun and sand.😁 or my excuse to go south in winter which we do.

      Hope this helps

I too need sunshine, I love the sun but didn’t get too much this summer. I also have a SAD lamp which helps in the winter. I appreciate hearing about your journey, thank you.
