Pneumosinus Dilitans
Posted ,
Dear Forum,
I have noticed for a while now, that I have been developing quite a prominent forehead - around the supraorbital region. As a child, I never had frontal bossing, yet from around 2 years ago two lumps just above my eyebrows, where underneath the skin my frontal sinuses are posited. Overtime, this has grown, primarily on the right handed side of my forehead, but several nights ago, the left hand side of my sinus felt full, just as if someone had placed a paperweight on my head. Several days later, when I tried to go to sleep, I noticed cracking noises and sensations on the left hand side of my forehead, and to my dismay when I awoke the lump on the left hand side of my forehead had expanded by several millimetres, was extremely tender and was painful to touch.
I am becoming lost on what this may be, but do to the cosmetic deformity which did not exist 3-4 years ago I have quickly lost confidence.
Below, I will post several photos, beginning four years ago where you see a lack of prominence on my forehead - to now, where my frontal sinuses have expanded.
Here is where you'll begin to notice changes within a short period of time. This next photo, was taken February this year.
And this was taken, yesterday.
As you can see, the left hand side of my forehead is noticeably larger than before. Is this pneumosinus dilitans?
Many thanks,
~Daniel
