Poking sensation in collarbone/shoulder area, what is it?

Posted , 2 users are following.

For the past year or so, I’ve been experiencing very occasional poking sensations in my collarbone and shoulder area. It actually feels like someone poking you but I’m always assured it isn’t anyone doing it. Sometimes I physically jerk my shoulder down from the pressure.

I have tried the symptom checker already and couldn’t find similar symptoms. It could be nothing but I don’t know anyone else who experiences this so I thought it was strange. Please let me know if you’ve had something like this before or may know what’s causing it.

    Hello,

Damadaga,  I’m a patient care technician (PCA). have the same feeling, that poking sensation in my left shoulder, it started in May, 2016 after I injured my shoulder at work.  I reinjured my shoulder last year again (October 2017). The  shoulder is so painful including the poking sensation.  I’m on the care of a shoulder specialist. You should see a doctor.

Thank you so much for your input, somja1. However, I have never injured my shoulder and it isn’t ever painful. It’s really just random.
