Polymyositis  attacks a component of muscles making it hard to walk and get up or sit down you have weakness, its also thought to be autoimmune disorder and when you have one other's can follow, like Lupus and RA,  Scleroderma, Sjogrens. the gland swelling could be Siogrens, it can effect all organs , you have no tears for the eyes, dry mouth, throat dryness feeling like chocking some time, nose congestion,  any membranes of the body that secrete mucus, joint aches like hands, wrist, feet ankle's elbows, mouth sore's, dizziness, also eye information feeling like you have something in it, pain in eye's,  autoimmune disease can over lap one another.
