Polyp resected but not retrieved in colonoscopic polypectomy. What should I do?

Hi, I was diagnosed with two colonic polyps in a colonoscopy last week. Yesterday, my doctor performed a colonoscopic polypectomy to remove those polyps. He was able to resect one of the polyps but failed to retrieve it as it was lost somewhere in the rectum. Later, he suggested me to look for it in my poop. He also gave me a sample collection bottle (with formalin) so that I can send it for biopsy.

I tried all day, but there was no sign of the polyp. What should I do now?
