Polyps!

hi ladies been for my hysterscopy today ( which was fairly painless) and it revealed that I have 6 big fat polyps.

Doc said she was certain that this is the cause of my heavy bleeding. They also did a biopsy so I've still got to wait for the all clear from that but she said it didn't look nasty.

so I'll be having a GA for the polyp removal which I'm dreading. Anyone else in this position? Much love my lovely friends ❤️

I wish you the very best Mandy.

I had a D&C and polyp removal on wed. of last week and am feeling so scared about the results of the path. report.

I had a polyp and the dr. said a lesion was by it. He removed both.

I have had no appetite and have lost 10 pounds since mid Nov. when I found out. I have had a Ct scan that showed everything was normal. Also, transvaginal ultra sound that showed the .8 mm polyp. My lining was normal and thin and everything else was normal. CBC bloodwork was normal too.

I am not sure if this is stress or not. I tend to worry so much about getting the "C" word.

Also, I feel very weak and fatigued.

    Anyone else felt this way?

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers!! I will do the same for you.

I am an emotional mess... so sad.

Hi Chris I was told the chances of polyps being anything nasty were less than 1%. That's very very low. So let's stay positive 😀

Can I ask you.. Did you have a general anaesthic ? I'm worried about the procedure as she said my polyps were large and needed to be done in theatre. I think it's called a D&C?

      Much love ❤️

Yes. I am feeling so much better!!

      Thank you!

I think the anasthesia made me not hungry and super tired.

I also got my results back and all GOOD!!

Thank you for the positive words and concern!

I wish you the very best and a very Merry Christmas!!

I have had quite a few investigations under GA and there is nothing to worry about, if the Dr recommends it go with it, I should imagine it would be a daycase surgery.

Thanks Helen. Just a bit anxious as they did a biopsy on the polyps and I have to wait for results before I have them removed .

Not looking forward to a GA as it makes me very sick afterwards .

      Happy Christmas 🎄

They always test everything they remove, doesn't meant they expect to find anything.  I should tell the anaesthetist about your previous experiences, I know mine gave me one he was pretty sure would not cause sickness and I had no problems with it at all, so each time thereafter I asked for the same one and never had a moments sickness.  They do try to accommodate us, after all, they don't want to be running round mopping up puddles of sick anymore than we want to be sick!
