Poor Medical Treatment

Hi, I've been reading alot of posts and somehow the debth of knowledge displayed is truly amazing. I reside in sunny (hot and humid) Florida, USA and find good medical near imposible to find. Latest example was an incisional hernia repair with mesh surgery performed on November 3rd, 2015. Things went really wrong because an infection set in (mrsa) and I was given Vancomycin IV after being released. 250mg at 9:00am and 250mg at 9:00pm was feed through a PICC into my superior vena cava on a daily basis.
Supervision was non existant and as hospital x-rays show, the tip of the PICC was in the superior vena cava when released from the hospital but laying on the superior vena cava when rushed back to the hospital four days later with congestive heart failure and kidney shutdown.
Any suggestions on how to handle all that vancomycin running around my body? Thanks so much.

What's very interesting is where I was finally getting some help. I went to La Hospital De La Familiar located in Mexacali, Mexico on October 20th, 2015 to have a mesh repair of my hernia and finally, however short, I found relief. The doctor left such a thin ten inch scar you could see how great it would look six months down the road. The pain and discomfort in my abdomin was gone. All I was feeling was a pressure from the actual cut. Suddenly I could sneeze and yawn because my chest cavity was able to expand. I left Mexico so happy and with a new outlook on life. On Octoger 26th, I went to a hospital in Tucson, Arizona to have the drain from surgery removed. All stayed well until November 3rd when I went to Green Valley Hospital also in Tucson, Arizona.
This was a really big mistake. This is where the emergency room doctor told me I was about to die from mrsa and I needed surgery to have the would cleaned out. I spent ten days at that hospital and eventually it led to the Vancomycin overdose. This is what I need help with. How to make sure my body is flushed of it. Thanks so much. I realize everyone here has their own problems and taking time to try and help another is so great.

I do not know about what you went thru, but I would think they should have had you drink a lot of water, to keep the kidneys flushed out. I have not experienced what you did and not sure what type of hernia you had. ( excuse my lack of knowledge),
Cannot begin to think of what you have suffered and sounds like you are still suffering. Please keep searching for a better GI Specialist and SURGEN. I searched for a year and finally found both, they happen to be next door to each other and even call me at home if I have questions. I am not trying to push religion on you, in fact I just want to pray for you and I ask that you may want to also. I believe in Prayer. God Bless you and comfort you. Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to try and help. Hopefully you'll be able to view my answer to papote53. Actually I hate to have to write all that again since my eye sight is failing somewhat from that overdose os Vancomycin. I am a believer and as you, I don't push religion. Just let my friends know who really has their backs. LOL
Best,
Ron
