Positive sertraline storie!

So this is my second time on sertraline. Started retaking it around 9 month ago. Il be honest it wasn't somthing I wanted to go through again. I've had generalised anxiety disorder for a few years now but when this medication kicks in. It works. I was on it first time around about a year and a half in my opinion I came off to early hence why I ended up back on it. I was really really well had a few bumps in the road which you will all know it's horrific. From starting the medication both times to about week 8 was worst weeks of my life. From feeling physically sick, to having the shake, sweats, feeling starving, to not wanting to eat, anxiety rocketed the whole time, even a slight bit of depression (which I've never really suffered with). Not wanting to leave the house, not wanting to talk to anyone, my thought process was all over the place. But again I stuck through it hoping and praying it would work again.

This is time it took longer tho and after 6 weeks my dosage was increased from 50 to 100mg and I've been there ever since. I can honestly say it hasn't let me down. After week ten was when I think I started to feel relaxed and less afraid. I returned to work much quicker around this time maybe had 2 weeks off so that got me through. Now my life is relatively back to 'normal'. Please stick with it I know it hurts I really really do.

Ps sorry about grammar etc iPad isn't best to type long posts out!

Biggest thing that helped me was distraction. Constantly making sure I was busy otherwise I'd lye in bed waiting for somthing bad to happen . Good luck.
