keep in mind jerome that anxiety causes the negative scary feelings and overthinking. 99.9% of everything we worry about never happens.

Life does not have to be about worry and fear. We can change our mindset to find joy in life.

Also people get all kinds of sensations in their body most of which are not serious.

We have to stop jumping to the worst case scenario whenever we feel something.

What I do is I get a complete physical every year and when that is all clear, I go and live my life and not worry!

I spent years worrying about everything but it did absolutely no good. It just made me miserable. There was never anything to worry about because everything was fine. I can’t get those years back..

so next time you worry, ask yourself what’s it doing for me ?

One thing that helps me is when I stay busy doing other things.. Don’t be idle too much because that creates over thinking.

You’re fine. take care of you!

I had never had anxiety in my life until one random day in my senior year of high school. I woke up from a nap after school, and my heart was pounding, mind racing, etc. This carried on for weeks, and the only relief I found was when hanging out with friends, or once I got ready to go to bed. As the days went on, the anxiety got better and better. After about 1-2 months it was only 85% of what it originally was, and I was starting to have days in a row where i would have nothing at all. for months 3-4 it was 75%, and by month 5-6 it was only 50-60% as bad, and i would have weeks in a row with nothing. At the end of May (Month 6), the anxiety was gone again, and I never had a problem with it again (maybe two total days in the past year and a half. I went from someone who had never had anxiety, to a near 5 month panic attack, back to a relaxed kid. I went on to have one of the best summers of my life at that point and doing really well. I also have a family friend who went through a similar situation. She woke up one morning terrified for no reason, and after a few months the anxiety was gone, and she is going on 5 years of no anxiety. You'll get through this.

Any real success stories from anxiety issues come from either 2 huge things: therapy and/or medication.

I have had anxiety for 10+ years. Like others, I first got it randomly one day as a 20 year old. It lasted for months and then thankfully disappeared... However, once I started to get more stressful events in my life as the years went by, it came right back. Each time it came back it was a little less scary as I got used to it, but what really helped me actually cope with it and get it to leave quickly was seeing a therapist.

Medication can be very helpful if it gets so bad where it is severely affecting your life, but from my experience and knowledge of anxiety issues, what really beats it is therapy and understanding why you have it and how to deal with it when it pops up bc it most likely will pop up again later if you don't learn how to cope with it.

I had terrible health anxiety for about a year in 2017, after my MIL passed away suddenly. Seeing my therapist helped greatly. After that bad phase I had 3 years were I felt absolutely great and had 0 anxiety. Unfortunately another traumatic event came about this past February and my anxiety is back now. But I'm working with my therapist again to get rid of it and hopefully it will go away soon.
