Positivty

The biggest thing we, as anxiety sufferers, need to work on is our ability to stay more positive! It's hard when bad thoughts keep knocking on the front door of our minds. Constantly fight them off with positive thoughts. If our minds are strng enough to exude negativity that we BELIEVE, than why can't it be strong enough to start feeding it positivity and work towards a happier healthier life!? It is possible. It is far from easy, but it is possible.

Please feel free to message me if you want//need to talk! smile

Hi , I agree complely ! But it's not easy if your mind it's telling bad thinks are coming to get you ! Like  anxiety it's a " bad person " , your" bad twin "

or something else ! Just to sabotage you .

Personally I would like to know more distractions , I can use .

Like many of us , I have good days and bad . But doing everything in my power to stay positive .

It's also frustrating that almost every day a new symptom comes out.  Like it's not eunough the ones you already have.

Big problem for me it's luck of sleep . I try meditation , calm music .

But it's not always working . I would like to mention I don't take any medication , until the day comes I can't take it any more .

If things are going south for you, I would consider speaking to your doctor. Happiness comes from within, not whats going on. It is hard, never said it was easy. You have to combat all those negative thoughts with positive ones, even if you don't believe them at first. Give it time. Start convincing your mind of positive things instead of the negative things.

You need to breath. That is the most important thing. Breathing. Take a DEEP breath in and count to 4 and hold for 4 and then let out for 4. Just do it. I think most of us have severe anxiety, which is why we are on this site. You are not a lone. The lump in the back of the throat is a symptom. You could be havig allergy problems as well and that may be why you have mucus build up. Sinus drainage will give you whats called "post nasal drip".... It'll give you a taste and the sensation of something in the back of your throat but its the fluids draining.

Thank you, I'm trying to quit smoking and have been feeling sick all at the same time. I've got the shakes and that lump in my throat which I went for an ultrasound and they said it looked normal. All I could think about was cancer. I don't know why I worry over everything!!

You worry because you have a mental illness that causes you to worry. It'llbe ok. We have no choice but to trust our doctors, right??? It is normal for people who have anxiety to experience a "lump in their throat". Look up Anxiety and panic attack symptoms. Stay focused though. Do not go look up symptoms themselves. Just look up anxiety and panic attacks.

It is cold/flu season so that is probably what is causing the mucus in your throat. Where was the pain on your side?

A lump in the throat as well as weird taste are symptoms of anxiety, you should search 100 symptoms of anxiety. It shall make you feel better! Best of luck!

I agree with NeedHelp. Look up symptoms of anxiety and panic attak. DO NOT GOOGLE O SEARCH ANY THINGS ELSE. ESPECIALLY YOUR SYMPTOMS THEMSELVES.  lmao. Its all bad when you do that. You will feel worse after. Just look up anxiety and panic attacks.

This is true I'm a believer that if we stay positive anxiety will subside a great deal. I'm working and learning this

Took me MANY MANY years to learn this, and I am still in the learning process. I don't think we ever stop learning these types of things when you suffer with severe anxiety! I am proud that you are working through your problems and trying to find the bright side! Keep it up! <3

That's a really helpful post for all of us! You're right about everything you say,the thing is that each and every one of us have to find that strength within us and sometimes it's really hard! We have to keep on trying though!

Yepp! It is VERY hard but it is doable. You just have to be willing to put forth the effort into forcing yourself to feel better! smile
