Possible Balanitis

Posted , 6 users are following.

So I have posted on here before, I will repost again in hopes of more opinions. Im a 24 year old male that had protected sex early september. I have had a case of balanitis about a year or so ago and the doctor gave me a cream that cleared the problem in 2 weeks. now i have had these red/pink bumps on my penis head since the first week of december and they havent gone away, although i have been cleaning daily and making sure my penis is dry. No itching, sometimes slight itch on the foreskin but i think thats normal. Does anyone also think this is balanitis? imageimage

Hi Ivan, not sure whether I responded to your previous post? The problem with the term " Balanitis " is that it is interchangeably used to describe nothing more than a set of symptoms present on the head / glans of the penis AND / OR on the foreskin, or alternatively it is used to describe actual penile skin conditions, some of which are incurable!

As the original issue you had disappeared after 2 weeks of using a cream the presumption would be that the term Balanitis was simply used to describe the symptoms you had ... you obviously have something causing this irritation resulting in the red bumps appearing ....

Is there any thing at all that you can link the appearance of these bumps to .... such as, maybe you were sexually active just before they appeared? Maybe you used a condom? Perhaps you have recently tried a different Lube, that kind of thing ......

hey man thanks for the reply. I havent had sex since early september, have masturbated a few times before getting these bumps, maybe once or twice a week. they first appeared with alot of skin peeling off the head when i pulled my foreskin back, around the first week of december, i applied the cream, it was clotrimazole that the doctor prescrived and that issue went away but the bumps remained. i began reading these forums and how people didnt use soap on the penis so i cut that out about 2 weeks ago or so. the bumps still remain but almost not visible when i first wake up. i started to keep the penis dry all day, just wondering why the bumps are still there at all after all these weeks (4-5 weeks)

Hi Ivan, I'm dealing with similar issues (check my post). It has been going on for 6 months now. I'm wondering if it burns or stings when you urinate or ejaculate by any chance?

hey jack, i do sometimes notice slight stinging when i urinate, mostly at night.. havent ejaculated since this appeared so i couldnt really speak for that. I have viewed your thread and it seems like you have redness around the opening which may cause this? i see alot of people in these forums with almost similar problems and everyone has one thing or another work for them but havent worked for me yet 😕

If you are not applying anything to the head and foreskin of the penis at all now, then the bumps should fade in time. Maintain the hygiene regime and abstain from rubbing anything else such as skin creams, lubes that kind of thing for a few months and the bumps may fade out. Unfortunately, sometimes they just remain - all you can do is do your best to help them fade away .....

The clotrimazole is an antifungal, a Doctor would normally prescribe this if they thought there was unprotected sexual contact of some sort ...
