Possible Coeliac

I don't have low iron stores anaemia but get extreme bloating, constipation and nausea. This increases after a lot of Gluten but am wondering if it can start later in life

I have always had a dreadful bowel reaction to barley and also certain beer makes me wheezy and sick.

My young adult twins and eldest son have Coeliacs, my Dad and ex husband also have/had

My son refused biopsy and doesn't follow a GF diet.

Could underlying Coeliacs be triggered following an illness?

I have blood screen test next week

I don't know that it will be Coeliacs more likely IBS and just falling asleep after meals and tired much of the time.

    hi maggie, everything points to being coeliac, either that or a severe intolerance to wheat. play with your diet buy some gluten free stuff and see how you feel, family history of this, problems eating, sickness. do you have mouth ulcers when eating anything with wheat in? do you have irritability, depression or pain? are your bowel and stomach upset a lot? write down any symptoms then show your doctor. coeliac can hit at any age. good luck, not funny but if you find what this it's easy to adjust....
