Hi Leesa, this is a good start, by seing a Neurologist, as he/she will be able to confirm/rule out many conditions......if this specialist can't give you a satisfactory answer, then your next step is to have a referral to a Rhuematologist, as they diagnose muscular/skeletal conditions, and treat same..................I know this sounds like a "long" process, and Yes, it is, for us all, we have had to Rule out any other condition/s before Fibromyalgia is given.............bear with the system, and give it your Best, for as we all, too, have experienced the anger/depression/anxiety of this process, but it is necessary.............you are always welcome to ask questions/advice, and we will try to help in some form............best of thoughts and hoping you find answers/treatments soon............Bron

Hi leesa56475 Its good your being refered to see a neurologist, other conditions need to be ruled out. Its a rheumatologist who diagnoses fibro this is after all other conditions that it could be have been ruled out. If nothing is found when you see the neurologist get your dr to refer you to see a rheumatologist. it took me 10 years to finally get a diagnoses for fibro. I saw countless specialists and many tests. Hope you soon get some where and some answears take care
