Possible frenulum breve? Help me out

I'm new here, hi smile

I'm a 22 year old, uncircumcised bisexual man and I'm looking for a bit of advice and reassurance. I've always had a bit of trouble in the penis department; pain, discomfort, premature ejaculation, trouble putting condoms on, etc. I can fully retract my foreskin, no problems there, but when I'm erect my frenulum is really tight and uncomfortable. My foreskin does still retract over the head of my penis but sits quite tightly behind it and any attempt to take it any further results in a lot of sharp pain.

Putting condoms on is near impossible and rather painful, even with somebody else giving me a hand. By the time I get it on I've lost my erection and I'm left embarrassed and frustrated. Not being able to wear a condom is obviously problematic. There are also a few instances where I've had tiny tears in my frenulum during sex and it's really uncomfortable in the following couple of weeks.

I've made an appointment to see my doctor but I'm really anxious about it. I've had problems with him before because he takes a "if you're not dying then it's all ok" kinda attitude and it makes me feel like I shouldn't even bother talking to him. Given what I've described here, what do you believe my chances are of being referred to a urologist? Thanks in advance for your help! If I can figure out how to attach a few pics then I will do.

It does sound as if you have a genuine case of frenulum breve. There are a number of remedies.I knew a man who had painful, bloody tears when he had intercourse and initially was only offered full circumcision as a remedy. Forearmed with information from the Internet, he persuaded his doctor to find a surgeon who used a special zig-zag method of freeing up his frenulum and foreskin. He never looked back and became a father twice over within a few years. This was in the South East London area.

      Thank you for the reply!

I'm pretty convinced that's what is going on, based on what I've seen on the internet doing my own research. My main concern is that I'll be dismissed because I can retract my foreskin with no problems while I'm not erect and even to some extent while I am, although with pain.

I have been researching a procedure called a frenuloplasty which I'm assuming is what you've described here. That would be my ideal outcome as I don't particularly want a circumcision, although I would if needs be. I'm guessing the waiting list is pretty long, especially seeing as mine isn't the worst case scenario. I just really want this fixing as it's playing havoc with my already poor mental health.

In my experience, doctors do respect the importance of a healthy sex life. Stand your ground and hopefully you will get a referral. Meanwhile try researcrhing surgeons who do the procedure you want. There is more choice allowed these days even within the NHS.
