Possible hernia

Hi there I am wondering if I have some sort of hernia?

My symptoms started after I had my twins which caused me to have a 3+ finger separation in my stomach muscles just close to my belly button.

The first symptom was severe pain in upper back and chest with heart palpatations and shortness of breath. I was rushed into hospital on 3 separate occasions by ambulance.

I had bloods taken, heart echoes, abdomen scans, bone scan, lung ct, lung function test, stool samples and a scope all of which have came back clear.

I had an endoscopy which showed inflammation in my stomach and I was diagnosed which gastritis.

I have awful shortness of breath but only when I am upright or standing it is fine when I'm lying down.

The pain spreads from my back to my front and my stomach is tender to touch where the pain is.

I feel bruised inside on the left side of my abdomen with awful shooting pains throughout my lower tummy.

I have severe nausea also to as well as terrible constipation.

I am getting a CT of my abdomen in the next 3 to 5 weeks. I just wondered if these were all possible symptoms of having some sort of hernia?

Would really appreciate anyone's thoughts of this. Thanks so much.

    Hi Lisa,

Have they checked your gallbladder? There is a test called HIDA scan that can be done.

You have very similar symptoms as my umbilical hernia. Abdomen scan should see that.

I hope you find out what it is! Wish you well!

Hi there. I thought the abdominal ultrasound would have shown up anything wrong with my gallbladder?

I just need answers as my symptoms are awful woke up this morning with terrible nausea.

Thanks so much hopefully they will get to the bottom of it with the results if the CT scan. If not it will be private MRI as I can't carry on like this.
