Possible herpes exposure

Posted , 4 users are following.

I had intercorse with a man that has genital herpes. The condom broke during. That has been 8days ago. No blisters or sores. Even went to my Dr. To be checked out and she didn't see any sore or blisters. I've read about flu like symptoms and havn't been feeling well. But no swollen lymph nods, no temp. I do have a burning (irritating) sensation. But also have been struggling with Chronic BV. So I'm not sure if it is a bacterial infection still. Culture was obtained today. And also doing borax suppositories. Irritation isn't just in one spot. I feel like I am very obsessive over this. Just looking for some feed back.

Well dear, you might not get it!

I know this is scary... But if he didn't have any sores while you had sex and if he wasn't shedding the virus that day, you should be fine!

I hope you are gonna be fine cause you don't want to be stuck with this...

    Good luck!

He wasn't having a current outbreak. And has had herpes for 6 years. I didn't ask if he takes daily antivirals. But it is scary. So I'm just hoping.

If it was a broken condom and you stopped right away, then the risk is quite low, especially in the absence of an outbreak and with him having had GH for 6 years already.

If he has genital HSV-1, then the odds are ridiculously low!
