Possible HIV exposure, worried sick.

Hi all,

Im a 23M and stupidly hooked up with another male without protection about five weeks ago. I know mere assurances that someone isn't infected should never ever be enough.

However, I took a rapid test a couple of weeks ago that was negative (i know that is usually too early). My most recent symptoms are a fever, chills, being light-headed and fatigue. However, I do not have enlarged lymph nodes or the infamous "HIV rash."

I am getting a 4th generation blood test done today. I know that I was stupid in my decision and will never do if again. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

hey, anyways you are taking test today. so relax.

    these symptoms doesnt assure anything.

Sometime guilt and anxiety makes you see whats not true.

    relax, you should be fine.

The thing is, my fever hasn't broken in 6 days. I'm hitting temperatures of 102 degrees. I was totally fine in terms of the anxiety until this fever started and i saw that was a symptom of early onset hiv.

Test came back negative. Had a hookup with another guy (protected) 2 1/2 weeks ago tho. So waiting until the 42 day mark to take one more blood test for that.
