Possible kidney stone

So for the past 2-3 days I’ve had a constant pain on my left side sometimes in my back. It gets worse when lay down and if I lift my hands above and behind my head. I’m not sure if it’s a pulled muscle or kidney stone or possibly from constipation since I hadn’t been using the bathroom regularly. I don’t have any trouble urinating. But if it’s a kidney stone in my kidney will it cause constant pain?

Yes it can. My recent one caused a good deal of discomfort in lower left side. That’s why I had to have surgery to blast it; 1.1cm. Get it checked out, because you never know when and if the big attack comes. They’ll give you a ct scan that will tell all.

It really depends on several things. Exactly where the stone is, how big is it, is it one or several stones.

If the stone is completely stuck somewhere then you may get constant pain. Sometimes if the stone is not completely stuck it moves a bit then the pain comes and goes.

You should see a GP and get them to refer you to a Urologist. These are the people who can help you.

Hope this all works out OK.

Take care and keep in touch
