Possible lichen sclerosus - pls help (pictures included)

I would love some help as I don't have a doctors appointment until May. I've had chronic vaginal itching for a couple of years now. I got prescribed betaderm and apparently this is strong. Currently cotton underwear, petroleum twice a day. Itching is worse after trimming or shaving, and skin sometimes flakes. This is the best it's looked in years but I'm tired and anxious if I cant keep up with the maintenance. Does this look like LS or I've been told possible extra dryness of just the top area, hypopigmentation caused by scratching

Ally89430, your pics definitely look like Lichen Sclerosis. I was diagnosed with the same, 6 months ago and was prescribe a steroid ointment for it, which is certainly not good for long time use. I recently contacted a naturopath who instructed me to start taking Curcumin in capsule form for the inflammation as well as Turmeric Ointment. I have not been able to locate any ointment here in Edmonton, AB but will keep searching. I was just told about Dr. Tammie Quick at Quick Health Healing in St. Albert, AB, who wrote a booth pertaining to LS called "How to Live Happily Ever After "Down Under". The How To thrive With Lichen Sclerosis Guide. I am about to order the book from Amazon. Best of luck to the both of us for a remedy.

Thank you. I am also from Edmonton, AB and will look into it. Question, mine is in my mons pubis, do you know if it progresses further towards the clitoris area if managed? Or is it normally localized?
