Possible STI Spot ?

Hi all,

Some background: I had unprotected sex around 5 weeks ago now, around 5 days after sex i noticed a bump appear on the tip of my urethra/ meatus, I also noticed spots on my lips which look to be Fordyce spots (the latter might be unrelated but its worth noting)

The meatus spot causes no pain and no real irritations that ive noticed, it simply put is just there.

On week 4 after sex I tested for the usual STI's .. i.e. Syphilis, HIV, gonorrhoea & chlamydia. All of which have came back negative. The person I was with has stated she has no symptoms or anything wrong that she has noticed and did a test early this year.

Personally I think it could possibly be HPV or Syphilis. The person I was with has said she has had the HPV vaccine however so I dont think it could be HPV. Im more leaning towards it being Syphilis. I know that it cannot show up on an STI test until after 12 weeks but if I have a symptom, such as the spot I am describing, wouldnt the test have picked it up ?

I'm understandably worried about this as I have no idea whether continuing to have sex having this is a good idea. When i phoned a Sexual health clinic they stated that i should was it in salt water, which I have been doing but there's no change. This morning I noticed it was slightly red under the skin at the bottom of the head. This could just be to the increased washing with warm water. I have had balanitis in the past but this seems different. Does anyone have any idea what this is / whether I should be worried / whether I can have sex and what my next steps can be ?

syphilis normally causes a crater like ulcer around 1cm in diameter so i dont think this is the case an warts dont like like what u have either i would abstain from sex for now to prevent further irritation to the glans and only use warm water to wash with

if u notice it becoming a crater like wound u will need to go back for testing

Thanks for the advise Kim. I'll just stick to warm water, I just thought things might have got better after so many weeks. Do you have any idea what it could be? Or any other treatment / ointment that might help?
