Possible symptoms to worry about?

I used to have a serious drink problem for many years during my 20's, until I was told by doctors that I was risking needing a liver tansplant by the time I was 30. Anyway, I'm 35 now and even though I have spent many years succesfully fighting my issues, there have been times when success is far from the word to use.
I have given up drinking again this year, for 7 weeks so far, Ihave given up drinking a lot of times before, but this time I really have began to value a future, I'm not going to go into the reasons of why I have had so many issues with alcohol.
Anyway, before I gave up drinking this time, I was drinking once every 10 to 14 days, but I noticed that my liver was becoming sore again and some strange sensations were happening, so I gave up, and these symptoms went away. Giving up was easy this time, I have structured my life sufficiently.
My question is this, I recently started to exercise and the other night amoungst other things, I did 70 crunches and sit ups (in sets of 10,25,15,25) and since then my liver has been really sore, my face and hands have gone really red and the skin on my hands is really dry, are these symptoms of a liver that was trying to heal, but I was unaware that it was too damaged for exercise, and exercise has aggravated it to this extent??
I'm living in China at the moment, so visiting a medical centre may be difficult.
Thanks.

Thanks for replying, it's just made me think of back when I was 27, during that recovery which was in much higher and dire need than now (although assisted by a younger and robust age), but back then at times it would feel better some days and sorer on others, I attributed this to a liver returning to normal size and the immediate body mass around it adjusting.
Anyway, the reasons that concern me are, the very dry hands and red face/hands, is this a blood flow issue? and has anyone else here experienced it before, or have you yourself hand experience with such symptoms?
And thanks for the suggestion about the exercise, it helps reduce the build up of stress, when I said it was easy this time, it's more that life is easier now I've made the decision to go teetotal again.
