Possible WD of low dose of amitryptiline?

Dear guys,

on January 13, 2022, I was diagnosed with a tension muscle headache and the reutmatologist's prescription was Laroxyl 5 drops (10mg of Ami) in the evening for three months.

Treatment went on as follows:

January 13-20: 3 drops

January 20-23: 4 drops

January 23-March 13: 5 drops

March 13-March 17: 4 drops

March 17 - March 20: 3 drops

March 20-March 23: 2 drops

March 23 - March 26: 1 drop

March 30 end of treatment.

So the treatment has been going on for about 2.5 months but I have some questions about this.

Since discontinuing the medication, so to date it is three months I have developed a number of symptoms that I did not have before the treatment including:

  • DRASTIC reduction in libido (I never think about sex, whereas before I thought about it very often)

  • Hanging face with dull stare and hollowed out eyes (before I had a nice, full, viscous face)

  • Reduced emotional spectrum (I used to get both positive and negative emotions about many things, now I feel flat)

  • Muscles twitching and right eye twitching

The rheumatologist says it is impossible that at this dosage and for this short time I am developing "withdrawal" symptoms to the drug that could last as long as three months.

Yet I have read of people who from Amitriptyline have a hard time recovering even years after stopping the drug.

Could these symptoms be due to too "fast" a withdrawal of the drug?

What can I do to resume this situation?

What do you recommend that I do?

Thanks so much!
