Possibly Infected Spider Bite

Hello to anyone out there. The issue I'm currently experiencing is what I believe to be a possibly infected spider bite. I got this bite about 4 days ago and had been experiencing soreness and pain in the effected area but it wasn't much to cause concern. However, since this morning the blister that formed on top of the bite popped and has been secreting pus and blood. The pain and swelling still remains the same as before nothing has worsened and i have not experienced any of the other signs of infection such as fever or nausea. So my question is, is this normal for spider bites or is this a serious infection that needs to be immediately treated?

Hmm. I'm not familiar with spider bites but it sounds like you are keeping an eye out for any signs of infection.I think that your blister would contain pus and blood and would either pop or be re-absorbed by your body. In my opinion since the pain and swelling has stayed the same immediate treated would not be needed. If you do not see some improvement after a reasonable period of time you can re-visit the idea of medical treatment. What have you done for the bite?

Thank you so much for the reply! I washed the wound gently with warm water, cleaned the surrounding area and bandaged it up! I also took some ibuprofen to help with the slight pain and its started to feel a bit better since. Hoping it improves quickly.
