Post 7 months after fibula surgery

Hi it's been almost 7 months for my fibula surgery got 5 screws and plate had a lot of swelling , the problem is that my job is in the restaurant where I have to stand more than 8 hours after my work I always feel lot of pain and swelling . Some people suggest me to use ankle sleeve . Can anyone suggest me any sleeves or shoes that I can buy here . Some people told me to use compression socks too I m kinda confused now

    That's an awfully long time to be standing. Try to ice it or at least elevate it during any breaks you get. Call your dr to see what they suggest. Compression socks are to help prevent blood clots and it might not be ok to wear those. I would ask your doctor. Just call the nurse and they will help you. You don't want to waste $ on something that won't work in your favor. Elevate and ice for sure! I'm 5 months after surgery and there's no way I could handle having shoes on for an hour let alone 8!     My physical therapist told me to wear compression socks to help keep down the swelling.
