post Ablation FA

Hi, I have just had an Ablation at the St Georges Hospital in Tooting, SW London and everything went ok. Until I got home and I started having FA  again. I was told by the Arrythmia nurse that is not uncommon to have FA post Ablation. Has anybody has a similar experience after Ablation?

Thanks

I just had ablation for SVT this past Tuesday is California, USA. and was told it went perfectly. However yesterday I started having a lot of alarming chest discomfort: skip beats, palpitations, some burning pain. I, too, was told at discharge it is normal. But, to be safe, since its come on suddenly, I've phoned my doctor and am awaiting a call back. I'd recommend you to go the same. Better safe than sorry. Take care and God bless. 🌺

A 53 year old male family member had this happen about 15 years ago.

Then he got FA earlier this year, they put him on meds hoping it would reset itself, which it did anout 3 weeks later.

Then he had it again acouple more times this year and the meds have again brought the heart rate back to normal.

It has been scarey but thought it might interest you.

    Always see the doctor
