Post appendicectomy - Recurrent infections

I'm a 29 year old female and I had my appendix removed a year ago and since have had a bad time with my health. I've constantly been getting infections, tonsillitis, chest infections, and ear infections, along with severe pain where my appendix was. I've since had my tonsils out bit the infections and pain just keeps coming. I've seen so many different specialists with regards to my abdo pain and I just get refered to someone else. I thought I was finally on the mend after being well for 6 weeks, but I spoke to soon! I've been really unwell for 3 weeks now and it getting worse! I've got a sore throat so severe I can barely swallow, on and off temperatures, ear ache, a dry cough, severe aches and pains that are sometimes dibilitating, night sweats, and head and neck pain that gets so bad it's painful to move my head, and my glands are so swollen I look like I've got no neck. I've seen 2 rubbish gp's that haven't really given me time to give them a full history and both of them have been so quick to send me away with antibiotics which have clearly not done anything. I'm just feeling really let down with drs, am so fed up with being unwell now, and I'm worried that I'm not getting any better. I just don't know where to turn to for help any more! I was contemplating going for a private health check but I just can't afford it but feel like the dr's don't take me seriously. I'm a young woman and I should be enjoying myself and my career but being unwell is taking over my life! Has anyone got any ideas what could be wrong, or what other options could be out there for me, or has anyone else suffered with similar? I'm just at my wits end now :-(

anti biotics may kill the germs, but you've got to stop them coming back. You need to build up your immune system, so it's a healthy diet with plenty of fresh fruit juice, lots of water and plenty of live yoghurts to replace the flora and fauna lost due to taking anti biotics .Make sure you get lots of carotene ( carrots, dark greens etc.) Exercise, but gently, (long walks in the fresh air at least 4 times a week) don't do anything that hurts or over tires you. Go to the dentist to get your teeth and most importantly, gums sorted out. It doesn't do your immune system any good to have constant even low level mouth infections. do some deep relaxation. Go to a comedy club at least once a fortnight! Try herbal remedies for your throat. Easy ones are; make tea with sage or thyme and gargle as often as liked and just before bed. Use sage, thyme, rosemary in cooking. Eat lots of garlic. ( eat fresh parsley afterwards to freshen breath.) And for a stronger hit to clear current infections, try olive leaf extract capsules 4 to 6 times a day for a couple of months or so. ( from health food stores.) Best of luck.

Thanks for your advice! I have a very healthy diet with lots of fruit and veg, live yogurts, and all I drink is water, I'm also reasonably active, even while I'm feeling so rubbish! My mum is into herbal remadies so I've been trying different things. Maybe it's just something I'm going to have to put up with :-(
I've had numerous blood tests over the passed year and they always say that my ESR is raised but the doctors never seem to do anything about it!
