Post cataract surgery symptoms

A little over two weeks ago I had cataract surgery and a multifocal lens inserted. Right after the surgery things were great. But over the past four days I have awakened in the morning with fogginess in my operated eye. After about 3-4 hours it clears. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a cataract operation on my left eye on 11 January 2014. It was a single vision lens. I had drops to insert initially to allow the eye to heat. It took a long time for the eye to settle - I would say six months. I got a black shadow on the left side where the lens was inserted for at least three months and occassionally what looked like a hair especially when I get tired. However if you are not happy phone the hospital where you got the surgery done.

I have the same problem with my lens. I have had it checked out several times. Apparently it is to do with the gel behind the eye, I was told as you get older the gel liquidifies and particules rise up making things blurred or foggy, also floaters etc. I always have clear eyes at night. Apparently this is because gravity pulls them down eventually but when you sleep up it all floats and you are back to square one. It was clear eventually, my lovely Mr Johnson quoted about 6 months! If you are at all worried do phone for an appointment if only to reassure yourself. I had one emergency appointment and two check ups. When I apologised for making a fuss they said no problem it is good to get everything completely checked and it puts your mind at rest. Hang on in there Laura.

I have never found Refresh to work very well. I use Systane, which is brilliant and if you are having a particularly bad day you can use it as much as you want.
